This November, Beth Clay was hired to be AMTP’s Belknap County Youth Mentor and Program Coordinator. Beth came to AMTP with approximately fifteen years of experience working with teens and has extensive experience in education, summer camp programming and behavior management. Beth recently transitioned from a teaching career that included two years with Teach for America in Atlanta, Georgia and one year at the Laconia Alternative Education Program. Beth has held leadership roles in several summer camps across the northeast, including Ramapo for Children in NY and Camp Wapanacki in VT. She is a graduate from Plymouth State University with a B.S. in Childhood Studies and a minor in Adventure Education, and holds English and ESOL teaching certifications. Her passion for developing productive relationships, diversity and character development, utilizing service learning and adventure education to lead and sustain emotional development and enhance social connectedness, all make Beth an exciting addition to the AMTP staff as our Program Coordinator and Belknap County Youth Mentor.
Beth serves as a Board of Governors member for the Up with People International Alumni Association and recently organized the first cast visit to the Lakes Region in 16 years. She is also a member of the Better Together steering committee in Laconia.
We’re very excited to have Beth on board, and we encourage you to welcome her via Facebook, phone or email at email@example.com.
